The front facades on the 1400 block of Regent Street look like typical commercial buildings, but when viewed form behind the building, the white roof of the Campus Buffet restaurant shows the features of 1920s Trachte design. Next door (right) is a Quonset-hut style metal building probably erected in the late 1940s. These buildings are often confused with Trachte, but were developed for the U.S. Navy during World War II to provide simple, lightweight and cost-efficient shelter.
