Dickinson St.
The original Trachte factory is located along Madison’s old East Side industrial corridor at 101 and 102 S. Dickinson Street. This small complex produced buildings that stored Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis, alfalfa and cotton mills in the south, and more recently the familiar Kentucky Fried chicken and Dairy Queen buildings. Post-1985 structures come from the company’s new site in Sun Prairie.
