Kenneth Nicholson House
The Lustron Company was formed after World War II to shift wartime production capability toward mass production of prefabricated housing for the post-war housing boom. The company operated in a former aircraft production facility in Columbus, Ohio. Lustron produced all-steel houses with porcelain enameled steel siding and roof panels. The company produced houses for about two years, and only about 2,500 of them were ever sold and assembled before the federal government stopped subsidizing the company with loans.
