The Art Deco building at 23 South Pinckney Street, designed by Law, Law and Potter, was built in 1931 as the Merchant’s Realty Company building. In 1972, it was torn down by Firstar Bank for new offices built largely of glass and designed by the nationally known firm of Skidmore, Owens and Merrill.
