Dane County’s second county courthouse, a Romanesque Revival four-story, red brick and sandstone building, was built shortly after the first one was torn down in 1884.
Following the construction of a combined City-County Building, this courthouse and the County Jail was torn down in 1958, in order to construct the Dane County Parking Ramp.
